9 April 2015, Thursday
On April 9, at a plenary session of intergovernmental Russia-Indonesia joint commission on trade-economic and technical cooperation in Korston hotel (Kazan), Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that KAMAZ has all chances to settle in Indonesian market.

The Indonesian delegation was led by Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, co-chairman of Russia-Indonesia joint commission for trade-economic and technical cooperation Sofyan Djalil.

Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the session.

Manturov noted that KAMAZ truck manufacturer is planning to set up assembly production and a service network in Indonesia. Sofyan Djalil supported the idea and noted that Indonesians will be glad to drive KAMAZ trucks in their country, but the trucks should meet many requirements, and one of the most important issues is organization of servicing and financial support.

“The position of Japan in Indonesian automotive market is very strong, therefore, it will take many efforts for a new player to prove itself. From our part, we will render all necessary support,” Sofyan Djalil said.
