On April 10, speaking at a meeting of Russia-Hungary intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that all projects proposed by our Hungarian colleagues will obtain overall support in Tatarstan.

Welcoming participants of the meeting, Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Russia and Hungary for supporting economic and cultural projects between Tatarstan and Hungary. He stressed that the meeting of Russia-Hungary intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation coincided with the opening of the Consulate General of Hungary in Kazan, which should strengthen the relationship between Russia and Hungary.

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Hungarian energy companies are carrying out mutual work today. But it is time to pass on from energy supplies to the development of joint projects that could also enrich our relationship, Acting President of Tatarstan went on to say.

Touching upon the issues related to industrial policy, Minnikhanov focused on the production of automotive components. He reminded that at the beginning of June this year Kazan will host a forum with the participation of the largest manufacturers of automotive components, including Tatarstan, and invited the Hungarian colleagues to take part in it.

Being an industrial region of Russia Tatarstan has made great achievements in agriculture, Minnikhanov noted. He assured that the regional leadership will take all necessary measures to implement joint agricultural projects in the field of agriculture with Hungary.
