Rustam Minnikhanov announces about establishment of creative industries support fund in Tatarstan

On April 11, at a plenary session “Problems of postindustrial economy: new ways of development” within the framework of Calvert Forum at Kazan IT-park, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulated Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that a creative industries support fund will be established in Tatarstan.
Dean of the faculty of liberal arts and sciences o St. Petersburg State University Aleksei Kudrin, Director of ANO “International center of social and economic research “Leontief center” Leonid Limonov, expert in regional branding , moderator of Calvert Forum Jonathan McClory (Great Britain) took part in the session.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that creative industry is one of the most rapidly developing in the world trade. Its annual increase makes 8.8 per cent. He reminded that the priority area of the strategy 2030 is human capital raising.
Rustam Minnikhanov also told about comprehensive measures on territorial development of Tatarstan, revival of the ancient town of Bolgar, island town of Sviyazhsk and Admiralteiskaya Sloboda (Admiralty Settlement).
Minnikhanov noted that there is a new generation of progressive educated people willing to create new projects to develop their native cities in the republic, and regional leadership supports them.
Rustam Minnikhanov told about approval of the programme “Strategic talent management in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2015-2020”, and creative sites that are already functioning in the republic, such as the center of modern culture “Smena” and a new residence of creative industry “Shtab”, and creative industries support fund to support projects on development of urban environment.
Aleksei Kudrin said that development of creative industries will facilitate industrial progress. He also noted that there are many promising creative people in Tatarstan and they need conditions to reveal their potential. Participants of the forum discussed the role of creative industries in social and economic development of the country.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
