Rustam Minnikhanov meets representatives of Tatar community in Azerbaijan

On April 13, during his two-day working visit to Azerbaijan (April, 13-14), Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met representatives of Tatar community living in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Welcoming participants of the meeting, Minnikhanov thanked the Tatar community activists for their contribution to preserving the Tatar language and culture, enriching common spiritual values.
Minnikhanov briefed about the projects being implemented in Tatarstan to bring Tatars living all over the world together. Today, it is important to help the Tatars, regardless of their country of residence, maintain the native language, traditions, he went on to say. For this purpose, we have developed the Ana Tele state Tatar language online programme, created the TNV-Planet satellite TV channel, which is broadcast abroad.
Minnikhanov also told about forums held in the republic in which representatives of the Tatar community and diasporas living in different countries and different regions of Russia take part, including the World Forum of Tatar Women, Tatar Youth Forum and others.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.

On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
