Rustam Minnikhanov at the meeting with Azerbaijan President: When we arrive in Baku we always see something new and positive

On April 14, at his meeting with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that he always sees something new and positive when he arrives in Baku. Ilham Aliyev welcomed the guests and said that it is important to intensify efforts for closer cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan. He reminded that the assembly production of KAMAZ trucks will open at Ganja Auto Plant.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Ilham Aliyev for his help in organization of the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Azerbaijan. He reminded that he visited Baku in March 2011 and since then the city has greatly changed. He thanked leadership of Azerbaijan for good attitude to Tatars living there.
Minnikhanov told about business meetings and negotiations that were held in Baku noting that they will favour strengthening the relations and expansion of economic interaction between Tatarstan and Azerbaijan.
Cooperation between Tatarstan and Azerbaijan has been realized for many years and Azerbaijan-Tatarstan intergovernmental commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation is working. There is a representative office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Azerbaijan (Baku). 25 enterprises with participation of Azerbaijan investments work in Tatarstan.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
