Business delegation from Azerbaijan to arrive in Tatarstan in September 2015

On April 14, during the working visit of Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to Baku (April 13-14), arrangements about the visit of Azerbaijan business delegation to Tatarstan in September 2015 were reached.
The final event for the Tatarstan delegation in Baku was a meeting of Tatarstan and Azerbaijan businessmen initiated by Rustam Minnikhanov in order to discuss reached arrangements, assign responsible people, and start working on the projects.
Rustam Minnikhanov told that at his meeting with Ilham Aliyev they discussed cooperation in the sphere of information technologies in which Tatarstan has gained experience.
According to Minnikhanov, Azerbaijan experience in the sphere of multi-purpose centers rendering state services to population is interesting for Tatarstan.
The parties are interested in cooperation in the sphere of petrochemistry, engineering, IT, pharmaceutics, construction, education and culture, and tourism.
Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, who took part in the event, said that supply of engineering and ship building products, and helicopters was discussed with certain Azerbaijan government agencies. In particular, it was suggested to open a helicopter service center and produce KAMAZ special vehicles.
Rustam Minnikhanov suggested holding a seminar of IT specialists, which will present software solutions developed in Tatarstan, in Baku. He also invited IT specialists from Azerbaijan to opening of the first start-up facilities in Innopolis.
Vice-premier of Azerbaijan, Co-chairman of Azerbaijan-Russia intergovernmental commission Yaqub Eyyubov Abdulla oglu, who took part in the meeting, said that Russia is a strategic partner of Azerbaijan and cooperation with Tatarstan is important.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
