Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in Board session under RF President on developing information society

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov spoke at the session of Council under RF President on developing information society. It took place in Moscow conducted by Chief of RF President Administration Sergei Evgenyevich Naryshkin.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed the audience about opening IT-park in Kazan in October. He stressed the event has become a significant one for republic. It is the first finished object within limits of federal program of creating technoparks in the sphere of high technologies. By and large IT-park in Kazan represents complex за buildings with total area 32 000 m². Moreover, stressed Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan is taking part in federal program with two projects – besides IT-park, the work is being conducted at “Khimgrad” technopolis (for now more than 70 resident companies have been registered here).

Later, Head of Tatarstan government told about work of RT investment venture fund noting that access to venture financing is an important part of IT sector support. By his words cooperation with “Troika dialog” company (manages target funds aimed at IT projects) may be the example of effectively working model of venture investment with participation of the state.

The participants raised such questions as measures of tax stimulation, development of domestic production in the sphere of infocommunication technologies and barriers preventing development of this sphere of economy. In addition there were discussed issues of realizing federal program “Creation of high-tech technoparks in Russia’.

General director of Centre of information technologies of Republic Tatarstan Nikolay Nikiforov presented Tatarstan at the session.
