On April 17, at the 5th session of Russia-China working group on cooperation in realization of the project of construction of high-speed railway and 3d session of Russia-China working group at Korston hotel (Kazan), Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that Tatarstan supports construction of railway “Moscow-Kazan-Beijing”.
On behalf of Tatarstan President and Government Ildar Khalikov welcomed members of the working group in Kazan and thanked them for holding the session in Tatarstan, one of seven Rusian regions where a high-speed railway “Moscow-Kazan” will be constructed.
“Cooperation with China is a good tradition for Tatarstan, and many events and projects are realized with the participation of Chinese partners. International experience has proved that construction of high-speed railways is a driver of economic development. Such projects gave impetus to development of regions where they were realized. It is important for us that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally supports this project,” Khalikov said.
Ildar Khalikov reminded that the regional information center of “Moscow-Kazan” high-speed railway was opened today at Kazan-2 railway station.
“There are big logistic centers, communications, transport infrastructure, river ports, and sorting areas in the republic. All this will help to increase efficiency of construction of this railway,” Ildar Khalikov summarized.
