30 April 2015, Thursday
On April 30, during their meeting in Ankara, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Turkish Airlines’ CEO Temel Kotil discussed issues related to increasing the number of flights between Tatarstan and Turkey.
Minnikhanov noted that within the boosting cooperation between Turkey and Tatarstan, the number of flights, only seven per week, is not enough. "More flights to Ankara, Antalya and other cities of the Republic of Turkey are needed. Now airplanes practically have no vacant seats. In summer passenger traffic will increase several times,” Minnikhanov said.
The parties concluded that today the number of flights between the cities of Tatarstan and Turkey may be doubled.
