Rustam Minnikhanov about Tatarstan-Turkey Business Forum: It is a good platform to develop our relations in economic and other areas

On April 30, in Ankara, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Tatarstan-Turkey Business Forum.
Speaking at the event, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is one of Russia's leading regions. Tatars are the second largest nation in the Russian Federation, he emphasized. With strong development potential, Tatarstan makes a significant contribution to the strengthening of relations between Turkey and Russia, he continued. We have a lot in common in terms of religion, culture and language, Minnikhanov went on to say. He noted that Tatarstan is a reliable platform for Turkish businessmen to enter the Russian market. Minnikhanov assured that every project will get an overall support from the federal and regional government.
Delivering his speech at the forum, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekdzhi said that Turkey and Russia are in talks on the implementation of economic projects in the field of procurement of raw materials. He noted the need to expand cooperation between the two countries. Zeybekdzhi reminded that despite the complicated political situation in the world contacts between Turkey and Russia were not affected. He added that he cherishes relations with Tatarstan, which is a bridge between Turkey and Russia.
Later on, the ceremony of signing of agreements on bilateral cooperation in the industrial, tourism and economic sectors between ministries and agencies of Turkey and Tatarstan was held.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
