Rustam Minnikhanov launches “Alabuga-Volokno” plant at SEZ “Alabuga”

On May 15, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Director General of “Rosatom” State Corporation Aleksandr Lokshin, Director General of “Holding Company "Composite" Leonid Melamed, Director General of SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev, Director of the Department for chemical-technical and forest industry of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Vladimir Potapkin and Head of Elabuga region Gennady Emelyanov took part in opening of “Alabuga-Volokno” plant at Specialized Economic Zone “Alabuga”.
Construction of the plant started in 2012. It is one of the most modern industrial enterprises in Russia that will produce carbon fiber for space, aircraft industries, construction of roads and bridges. “Alabuga-Volokno”, the joint project of Composite and Rosatom companies cost 3 billion roubles. 10, 000 tonnes of carbon fiber per year are planned to be produced at the plant. By 2025, the plant will provide 7 per cent of the global carbon fiber market and become one of the most high-capacity enterprises in this sphere.
“Opening of this plant will help increasing production of composite in Russia four times, therefore, the initial cost of this material will decrease and widely used,” Aleksandr Lokshin said.
The enterprise has state-of-the-art infrastructure.
“With technological infrastructure of “Alabuga-Volokno” we can manufacture produce of international level and compete in Russian and international carbon fiber markets,” Leonid Melamed said.
On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.
On 20 December, in his address on the occasion of the Russian Security Bodies Officers Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated employees and old stagers of the service with their professional holiday and wrote: “

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
