Rustam Minnikhanov suggests holding next Final round of WorldSkills Russia Championship in Kazan

On May 23, at Ice Palace of Sports “Tatneft Arena”, solemn closing ceremony of III National WorldSkills Russia Championship took place with participation of Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Olga Golodets, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan –Minister of Science and Education Engel Fattakhov, WorldSkills Russia union Director General Robert Urazov, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Andrey Nikitin and other officials.
It should be mentioned that WorldSkills Russia Championship’s Final round started on May 19. A total of 519 contestants from 46 regions of Russia, Morocco, Israel, Finland, Belarus and Kazakhstan and 613 experts arrived in Kazan. The participants competed in 57 competences, including nine new competences, on the sites of the territory of exhibition centre "Kazanskaya Yarmarka" (Kazan fair).Within the framework of WorldSkills Russia Championship, 100 juniors at the age of 10-17 participated in Junior Skills contest in 10 competences. 63,000 spectators attended the final round.
Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Olga Golodets said that all participants are the best of the best without taking into consideration whether they have won gold medals or not. She expressed confidence that the Championship will be more and more popular. “Holding the Championship again, we will keep the bar set by Tatarstan,”, she added.
Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Andrey Nikitin noted that at the beginning they didn’t expect the event to become national and expressed gratitude to experts and Tatarstan Republic leaders.
“The republic is privileged to host the competitions and such gifted children. A great number of businessmen are interested in the event as these children are our future. Kazan is ready to host next Championship”, Acting President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, concluded.
In addition to it, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Russian government for trust, different enterprises, organizations , and experts for contribution to holding WorldSkills Russia Championship.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
