Rustam Minnikhanov meets Minister of Industry, Trade, Small and Medium Enterprises of Egypt Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour

On May 25, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov as member of the with official Russian delegation led by Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov took part in a meeting with Minister of Industry, Trade, Small and Medium Enterprises of Egypt Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour. The meeting discussed prospects of cooperation in the field of trade and economic.
Mounir Fakhry Abdennur noted that the Russian and Egyptian businessmen have made a significant contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries. "I am convinced that long-term cooperation between the business circles of Egypt and Russia will be a good impetus for the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation," he stressed.
Despite this, the total volume of trade turnover between the two countries (5.5 billion USD in 2014) does not reflect the real possibilities, he added and reminded that the Russian side had expressed its readiness to invest in large-scale projects in Egypt, one of which is the project of modernization of factories built in the second half of the 20th century by Soviet specialists.
In his welcoming speech Manturov supported the need expressed by the Minister of Industry, Trade, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Arab Republic of Egypt to restore strategic cooperation between Russia and Egypt to the former level.
Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian side for the participation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in WWII in Moscow. He added that relations between Russia and Egypt are actively developing.
Among the most promising areas for further cooperation Manturov called the aircraft industry, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, medicine, energy and others.
Later on, at their meeting with Minister of Health of the Arab Republic of Egypt Adel El-Adawi representatives of the Russian delegation discussed issues related to mutual cooperation in the field of health, pharmacy and training of medical personnel.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service.
