Rustam Minnikhanov visits Peruvian plant producing buses on KAMAZ chassis

On May 27, during his two-day working visit to Lima, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Modasa plant, manufacturing buses on KAMAZ chassis.
Currently, OAO KAMAZ (Kama Automobile Plant) and «KAMAZ LATINOAMERICA» company (Peru) are carrying out the project on producing buses based on KAMAZ-4308 chassis on the sites of Modasa plant (Peru). In 2014, 20 bus chassis were delivered to the plant.
Rustam Minnikhanov and KAMAZ Director General Sergey Kogogin looked around the shop, where the production is carried out. Later on the same day, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan had a brief meeting with the heads of Modasa plant. Rustam Minnikhanov assured that the bus produced on KAMZ chassis will be competitive, and he highly appreciated the high technologies used in Modasa plant.
“The collaboration between our companies will serve as an example to other enterprises. In particular, alongside with buses, other transport vehicles may be manufactured in Peru”, he added.
Rustam Minnikhanov outlined that KAMAZ produces vehicles with gas engines that is very essential nowadays. Another example of competitiveness of KAMAZ transport vehicles is Dakar Rally, where they are used every year.
Representatives of Modasa plant, in their turn, said that KAMAZ is known all over the world and they are planning further collaboration with KAMAZ plant.

On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
