Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in session of Association of legislative bodies of subjects of Volga federal district in Russian Federation

On May 29, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov participated in the session of Association of legislative bodies of subjects of Volga federal district in Russian Federation to be held in Kazan Town Hall. Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin and heads of legislative bodies of subjects of  Volga federal district in Russian Federation were present at the event.  

Welcoming the participants of the session, Rustam Minnikhanov outlined that the Parliament of Tatarstan Republic plays an important role in development of the republic. “Decisions, taken by executive bodies, are very efficient if they are enshrined in the laws. Social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030 programme is an illustrative example,” he said. 

“There is interaction among all governmental authorities. Executive branch should set up clear strategy and coordinate it with the Parliament. Our law making authorities have always helped us in solving problem. I can mention the fight against illegal extremist organisations that became active 2-3 years ago. Municipalities should be engaged in law-making process,” Rustam Minnikhanov added. 

“The experience of Volga federal district is of great importance for the whole country. The future of Russia depends on its political and economic stability. Therefore, everybody should contribute to it. For this, we should be meet challenges together,” Acting President of the republic of Tatarstan concluded.
