Mintimer Shaimiev hands over awards to children- winners of the contest of drawings and compositions about Bolgar and Sviyazhsk

On June 1, the International Children’s Day, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Guardians of the “Revival” Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev handed over awards to children, winners of the regional contest of drawings and compositions about Bolgar and Sviyazhsk. The awarding ceremony was held at the Kazan Kremlin.
Minister of Education and Science of the republic Engel Fattakhov, Deputy Chairman of State Council, CEO of the “Revival” Foundation Tatyana Larionova, and Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism Sergey Ivanov took part in the ceremony.
Mintimer Shaimiev looked around the exhibition of the best drawings and compositions and talked to their authors.
Shaimiev congratulated everyone on the International Children’s Day, sauing that parents have always protected their children and homes. He highly estimated works presented at the contest and said that he had read all compositions about Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.
Shaimiev thanked organizers of the contest on behalf of Interim President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and Tatarstan Government, and congratulated the winners on their victory.
Shaimiev reminded that Bolgar and Sviyazhsk have rich history and are becoming more attractive for tourists. One of the latest achievements was inclusion of Bolgar in UNESCO World Heritage List.
Mintimer Shaimiev handed over letters of commendation and books to teachers, and Engel Fattakhov handed over diplomas and electronic books to children.
Videos about Kazan, Bolgar, Sviyazhsk, Elabuga were shown during the ceremony.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
