Rustam Minnikhanov gives task to develop the project on improving embankment of the Volga River

On June 12, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin, Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Nafikov, Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, and Aide to Tatarstan President Natalia Fishman walked along embankment of the Volga River.
The first object they visited was the river station. Before Universiade 2013 the metal fence was built for security reasons. Rustam Minnikhanov was told that the fence obstructs the traffic and has unpresentable look.
Olesya Baltusova suggested opening access to promenade zone along the river. Rustam Minnikhanov said that the fence was built for safety reasons and it cannot be removed. Alternatively, he suggested making additional walkways for visitors.
Minnikhanov entrusted Aide to Tatarstan President Natalia Fishman and Department for architecture and urban planning with developing the project of on improving embankment of the Volga River.
Representatives of the Sailing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan presented the project of Kazan yachting marine. They noted that Kazan is the biggest yachting port on the Volga River, and the project will arouse interest of citizens in water sports and sailing sport. Minnikhanov supported the idea and said that the project will be implemented soon.
Participants of the event also visited the Center of sailing sport on Lokomotiv peninsula and Prilutsky Church, the cultural heritage site that needs to be reconstructed.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
