Agreement on cooperation within the framework of the project Europe-western china international transit corridor signed at St. Petersburg forum

On June 18, during St. Petersburg international economic forum, Chairman of the State company “Russian highways” Sergei Kelbakh, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, Governor of Orenburg region Yuri Berg and Managing Director of OAO “Federal center of project financing” Ilya Ponomarev signed Agreement on cooperation within the framework of the project Europe-western china international transit corridor.
The new Europe-western china international transit corridor “St.Petersburg-Kazan-Orenburg-Aktyubinsk-Almaty-Khorgos” is the most convenient way with the minimum amount of countries and borders. The corridor will go through traditional trade route of Russia and European countries. It will favour development of relations between European countries and Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries of Middle and South-East Asia, and help using transit communications of Russia for international transit.
By 2020, formation of the corridor St.Petersburg-Moscow-Vladimir-Nizhny Novgorod-Kazan-Orenburg-the border of Kazakhstan is expected to be finished.

On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
