Rustam Minnikhanov meets British Petroleum (BP) President in Russia David Campbell

On June 23, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and President of the British Petroleum (BP) in Russia David Campbell discussed prospects of further cooperation between the republic and BP Russia.
David Campbell informed Minnikhanov about the work of the British oil and gas company in Russia and long-term cooperation with the Kazan Federal University. He said that he had visited the university before to hand in diplomas to BP fellows and young research teams, which won the grants.
At the end of the meeting Minnikhanov handed in the Letter of Thanks of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan to Campbell for his contribution to the development of higher education system in the republic.
Aide to Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov and Rector of the Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov attended the meeting as well.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
