Rustam Minnikhanov: Only highly educated qualified staff will make Tatarstan competitive

On June 25, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of State Council of the republic Rimma Ratnikova, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, famous Russian scientists, teachers and students of Kazan National Research Technological University took part in solemn event dedicated to 125th anniversary of the university at G.Kamal Tatar State Academic Theatre.
Speaking at the event, the university rector German Dyakonov reminded that many changes have taken place since Kazan National Research Technological University celebrated its 120th anniversary. “We have worked out the programme of national research university, we have spent more than two billion roubles for its implementation . We have also purchased modern research equipment for the sum of two billion roubles , spent 500 million roubles to organize internships of our students at top research centers,” Dyakonov said. He continued that the university infrastructure has been developing, and it now has two new sports venues, a boarding school for talented chemists, and the trade-culinary lyceum. Moreover, new university hostel will be built.
German Dyakonov thanked his colleagues for their work and personally Rustam Minnikhanov for his support.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on the holiday: “Tatarstan is the center of petrochemistry. It would not be possible without your university. We cannot be competitive without highly educated staff that will work at our enterprises and research centers, and make Tatarstan and Russia competitive.”
On 23 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov took part in the All-Russia charity action “The Fir Tree of Wishes” organized by the Movement of the First.
On 20 December at a meeting of the Commission on prevention and mitigation of emergencies and ensuring fire safety in Tatarstan held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via video conference, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin said that the today’s meeting is to discuss ensuring fire safety during New Year and Christmas holidays and children’s winter holidays.
On 20 December in his address to Russian security officials, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin on behalf of the Government of the republic congratulated them with their professional holiday and wrote: “Security bodies have always been a reliable support for the state. Representatives of this vocation are people in the shadows but their service is extremely important for the order in our country.
On 19 December before the beginning of the XIX congress of the Association of the Tatarstan Council of Municipalities, the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the All-Russia charity action “The Fir Tree of Wishes” and took post cards with wishes of six children from the New Year tree.
