Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan Ministry of interior does not lose ground

Results of operative-official activity of RT interior affairs bodies for 2009 have been summed up today in RT Ministry of interior. RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Prosecutor Kafil Amirov, Head of RT Ministry of interior Asgat Safarov and other officials took part in the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated work of law enforcement agencies in 2009. “It is extremely essential that in a long period of time RT Ministry of interior has not been loosing their ground. As a rule, in crisis period criminal structures try to become more intense. Fortunately, the situation in republic is being controlled. RT Ministry of interior is the most innovative ministry. Those armament technical and technological facilities we have are the most advanced in the world. Law enforcement bodies play a great role in progressing Tatarstan”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.

According to data given by RT Minister of interior Asgat Safarov 16,5 thousand felonies and gravest crimes have been registered in 2009 in Tatarstan. It is 16 % less in comparison with last year. Percentage of criminal cases solved has increased and made 67 %. Within this category more than half of crimes are against property (57 %), connected with drugs – 25 %, against life and health – 4%.

“Buran” (Snow storm) plan put into operation in Tatarstan

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.

On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.

On 29 December, speaking at a briefing held in Tatarstan Government House on issues of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of road services and housing and communal services during the holidays, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin said that during the holidays special attention will be given to providing heat supply to apartment buildings.

Aleksey Pesoshin will fulfill wishes of four kids during the action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes”

On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation. The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.
