Tatarstan residents awarded for holding forum “Russia-sports power”

On January,18 the ceremony of awarding group of representatives from Tatarstan with Gratitude from President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev for proactive participation in preparation and holding I All-Russian forum “Russia-sports power”.

Gratitude of Head of state was given to RT Ministry of youth affairs, sport and tourism Marat Bariev, Head of RT Cabinet office Shamil Gafarov, Director General of JSC “Tatneft” Shafgat Takhautdinov. The award was presented by Aide to RF President Aleksandr Abramov.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy head of President administration on ensuring activity of RF State Council, Chairman of management of “Support fund for Olympic competitors of Russia”, deputy chairman of organization committee of forum Aleksey Kulakovsky took part in awarding ceremony. They were also given RF President’s thanks earlier.

We remind that forum “Russia-sports power” was held on October, 22-24, 2009 in Kazan. More than 3,5 thousand people took part in the event.

While congratulating recipients Rustam Minnikhanov stressed the joining role of sport “There are forums held in Davos, St.Petersburg, Sochi, - but mainly chiefs go there. People from all Russia gathered at sport forum. There is no any religious or national discrimination in sport. All people are equal.”

“Now we have another task set – to hold Universiade 2013 up to the mark, to train our sportsmen so that they perform in a proper manner and uphold the honour of our power”, - Head of RT Government underlined.
