Substation 500 kV Shelokov opened in Alabuga Specialized Economic Zone

On July 17, Russian Minister of Energy Aleksandr Novak, Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Elabuga region Gennady Emelyanov, Director General of OAO “Grid company” Ilshat Fardiev took part in opening of substation 500 kV Shelokov in Alabuga Specialized Economic Zone.
Construction of the new substation will increase transfer capacity of electrical network of 110-500 kV in Nizhnekamsk and will help to reduce energy shortage in Kazan energy area by creating additional electric connection between energy regions.
Construction of the substation started in 80s and continued in 2000s. It was called after a famous technical manager of Tatarstan energy system Yuri Shelokov, one of the founders of the new substation. His wife, daughter and grandchildren attended the event.
Later on the same day, the officials laid flowers to the memorial to Yuri Shelokov.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
