2,651 sportsmen from 190 countries to arrive in Kazan for FINA World championship 2015

On July 20, at a session of the organizing committee of the 16th FINA World Championship and FINA World Masters Championship in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that 2,651 sportsmen from 190 countries will arrive in Kazan to take part in the event.
Khalikov informed that 13 working groups responsible for different areas were created for organization of the championship. Heads of all groups reported on their work on preparation for the international event. 450, 000 tickets to opening and closing ceremonies, and Piligrim show were on sale.
160, 000 tickets have been sold, 16, 000 of them have been sold to foreign citizens. Ticket offices are located in Korston hotel, Kazan-Arena stadium, Agropark, post offices, Tattelekom offices, and four underground stations. The 5-hectare FINA Park will be working from July 24 till August 16, from 12.00 till 22.00.
It was noted that 516 volunteers from 20 Russian regions and 10 foreign countries came to Kazan to take part in the event.
The expected television audience is 4.5 billion people.
2,790 sportsmen from 74 countries will come to FINA World Masters championship.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
