Rustam Minnikhanov meets President of the Association of National Olympic Committees Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Sabah

On July 22, at his meeting with President of the Association of National Olympic Committees Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Sabah at the Kazan Kremlin, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the meeting was held on the threshold of FINA World championship in Kazan.
He noted that such large-scale events increase attractiveness of Tatarstan in the world and help to improve its infrastructure. Minnikhanov told about big projects implemented in the republic, revival of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk, the religious sacred places. Also, he thanked the Sheikh for his attention and kind attitude towards Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that in accordance with the order of the Russian President Vladimir Putin he headed Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group. He expressed his hope that the visit of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Sabah to Kazan would strengthen these relations.
Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Sabah highly estimated the level of relations with Tatarstan and noted that sport is very important in many spheres of life. He added that he will render all necessary assistance in holding 16th FINA World Championship in Kazan.
Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Vasil Shaikhraziev, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Vladimir Leonov took part in the meeting.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
