Rustam Minnikhanov: « Situation on labour market managed to be stabilized »

Social workers have summed up work in 2009 and  defined tasks  for current year. In Board session of RT   Ministry of labor, employment and social protection  held  in Kazan, RT  Prime minister Rustam Minnikhanov  took part.

« Decrease  in volumes of  internal regional product, closing  of industrial and investment programs, debts of the enterprises on wage  payment,  which achieved   140 million roubles, liquidation of the enterprises of small and mis-sized business - all this  led to a serious increase of social tension and was reflected, first of all, in a labour market. Last  April the number  of  the registered unemployed in republic  reached 61 thousand people, having exceeded a three-percent threshold from  common  number of economically active population », - RT  minister of work, employment and social protection  Airat Shafigullin  noted in the report.

As he said, for this time there was a real reduction of  wage sizes in relation to  last year's level for 7,8 percent. Monthly approximately 80 thousand  Tatarstaners  worked in a mode of incomplete working hours or were in   compelled   holidays. Available vacancies only for 82 percent  compensated number of the laid-off workers for a year.

« Year was complex, strained. But owing to our joint efforts, actions,  active position of heads of municipal formations, heads of the enterprises, it was possible to stabilize a situation », - head of the RT  Government Rustam Minnikhanov  told about a state of affairs on  labour market in 2009.

For the last 12 months loading on experts of the centers of employment has essentially increased. The number of the citizens who  addressed  them in searches of work, has tripled. To provide Tatarstaners   labour guarantees, the opportunities  of social partnership  established  by the law were widely used. Owing to joint efforts of the RT  Ministry of labor, employment and social protection , Offices of Public Prosecutor of republic and  RT state labor inspection  a situation  remained  under  constant control. « To soften social tension a huge additional investments which in the past to year have made almost 4,3 billion roubles »  helped  also, - Airat Shafigullin  emphasized. For this time in public and temporary works  more than 274 thousand Tatarstaners  and 6,5 thousand employers  took part.
