Innokam innovative manufacturing centre concept presented to Rustam Minnikhanov

On July 24, at Tatarstan Government House, the concept of an Innokam innovative manufacturing centre was presented to Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Speaking at the presentation, Minnikhanov noted that the Kama industrial zone is the main point of growth for the region. He reminded that the Kama industrial pool includes Yelabuga, Zainsk, Mendeleevsk, Nizhnekamsk and Tukayev municipalities, as well as Naberezhnye Chelny municipal district. The area is home to one million people and accounts for about one fourth of the regional gross product, 42 per cent of synthetic rubber, 54 per cent of polymers manufactured in Russia, as well as for Russian truck and truck tyre production.
According to Minnikhanov, the Innokam project was supported by the federal government and an action plan had been approved. He said the concept was developed by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service.
The purpose of the concept is to build Russia’s best innovative manufacturing centre and to promote high-technology industrial pools as a model of long-term development, allowing to convert the industrial and technological potential into a high general living standard.
The project focuses on infrastructure-related projects, including transport and power supply, modernizing the core industries, personnel training through establishing higher educational establishments, and improving the quality of living.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
