Vladimir Putin meets with Russian team that will take part in 16th FINA World Championship in Kazan

On July 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin accompanied by Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazan Arena stadium and met with Russian national team that will take part in 16th FINA World Championship in Kazan.
Vladimir Putin wished sportsmen good luck and expressed a high opinion of the stadium.
Members of the Russian team told Putin that foreign sportsmen were very impressed by the quality of sports facilities in Kazan. “Let them stay “shocked” while you'll be winning your medals," Putin answered jokingly.
Members of the water polo team asked Vladimir Putin is he wants to try playing water polo. “Water polo? I hope I won’t sink, but if you support me, I might try. Water polo is a beautiful and very “athletic” sport.
Russian President took a few pictures with the athletes and accompanied by Interim President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov went to Tatneft Arena Sports Palace to see the Opening Ceremony.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
