State Council of Tatarstan has vested Rustama Minnikhanov with powers of President of Tatarstan

The State Council of Republic Tatarstan at today's session has vested Rustam Minnikhanov with powers of RT President.
His nominee was brought by President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on January, 27th.
For vesting Rustam Minnikhanov with powers of the head of republic voted 94 deputies, against - 0. For of the candidate with powers it was necessary, that for its{his} nominee has voted the majority of deputies.
We remind, in the end of December "United Russia" recommended three nominees on a post of President of Republic Tatarstan. Among them Prime Minister of Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin and the incumbent President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.
On January, 22nd Mintimer Shaimiev at a meeting with Dmitry Medvedev addressed with request not consider the issue on prolongation of his powers on post of President of Republic Tatarstan.
The term of appointment of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev expires on March, 25th.
On 29 December, speaking at a briefing held in Tatarstan Government House on issues of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of road services and housing and communal services during the holidays, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin said that during the holidays special attention will be given to providing heat supply to apartment buildings.
On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation.
The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.
On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.
On 20 December, in his address on the occasion of the Russian Security Bodies Officers Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated employees and old stagers of the service with their professional holiday and wrote: “
