Rustam Minnikhanov: “At FINA World Championship in Kazan the fans showed how much Russia loves sport”

On August 9, at the Closing Ceremony of FINA World Championship in Kazan, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the fans showed how much Russia loves sport.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to leadership of the country for trusting Kazan.
“I express my gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev, and FINA family. We have become a part of this family and we are together. I would also like to thank Chairman of the organizing committee Vitaly Mutko we have been preparing the championship with for several years,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He also thanked all federal and regional organizations and the Kazan city council, which took part in preparation for FINA World Championship.
“I want to express my special gratitude to spectators and fans, which showed the whole world how much Russia loves sport,” Minnikhanov summarized.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
