Ildar Khalikov awards best police officers involved in holding FINA World Aquatic Championship in Kazan

On August 15, near Memorial cultural complex of Tatarstan Ministry of Interior Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov handed in state awards of Tatarstan Republic to members of the Russian Interior Ministry working group and commanders of interservice teams of Tatarstan Republic and entities of the Russian Federation involved in ensuring law and order during the preparation and holding of the 16th World Aquatics Championship and World Masters Championship in Kazan. Minister of Internal Affairs of the republic Artem Khokhorin, head of Russian Interior Ministry working group Anton Gusev and other officials were present in the event.
In his welcoming speech, Ildar Khalikov expressed gratitude to the Tatarstan Interior Ministry staff as well as the representatives of law enforcement bodies from other Russian regions who helped their Tatarstan counterparts.
He outlined that at the organizing committee sessions security was called the top priority. Ildar Khalikov added that for the first time in the history of USSR and Russia representatives from 190 countries have arrived for the world championship, the number of guests was the largest in the history of sports competitions the country had hosted.
“It should be mentioned that the event attracted much public attention and was covered by foreign mass media. The largest publishers from the US, China, European and Asian countries published and covered live news from Kazan. Even The New York Times, the largest publishing house that often criticizes Russia, wrote about high level of preparing, managing the event and ensuring security at the championship in Kazan,” Tatarstan Prime Minister stressed.
He went on to thank Kazan Law Institute of the Russian Ministry of Interior and Russian Interior Ministry internal military forces.
Ildar Khalikov said that a number of important events are forthcoming. On August 21, Kazan will host the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup.
“We are convinced that the proficiency of the Tatarstan Interior Ministry officers and high level of coordination between the law enforcement bodies and public authorities will allow us to host this and other competitions up to a high standard,” Ildar Khalikov summed up.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
