New oil-extracting factory “Nefis-Bioproduct” launched in Laishevo region

On August 18, Interim President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov and First Deputy of Russian Government Igor Shuvalov took part in solemn ceremony of launching new oil-extracting factory “Nefis-Bioproduct”.
New factory is a final stage of construction of complex of advanced oilseeds processing “Nefis-Bioproduct” to include oil refining factory and factory manufacturing bottled oil, mayonnaise and sauce. Owing to commissioning new facilities, Nefis group of company can manufacture up to 1 million tons of oilseeds per year. Production and package lines were shown to the gusts.
“Today’s event is a milestone. Nefis group is developing. Only a short time ago, there was a fat plant running below full capacity instead of this new factory. Commissioning of new factories is an implementation of import substitution programme. I would like to thank the leadership and personnel of the company for well coordinated work. You are an example for our businessmen because, despite difficulties in the market, you find opportunities and use innovations,” Rustam Minnikhanov told.
Igor Shuvalov added that everything to have been shown in this factory is a real implementation of import substitution programme to be realized without governmental support.
Later Rustam Minnikhanov and Igor Shuvalov launched the new oil-extracting factory. Before launching, former factory capacity amounted to 330 thousand tons of oilseeds processing.
To the point, Nefis group of companies to include public company “Nefis Cosmetics”, OAO “Kazan oil-extracting factory”, OAO “Kazan Fat factory” and OAO “Nefis-Bioproduct” is one of major producers of household chemical goods and fat-and-oil products. In 2014 gross receipt reached more than 41 billion roubles, including VAT. Total receipts from realization of output production amounted to 25.3 billion roubles. 5200 employees work there. Average salary is 30.9 thousand roubles.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
