Rustam Minnikhanov in regional August meeting held in Bugulma town: Our future depends on quality of education

On August 21, at the plenary session of Regional August meeting of Tatarstan education and science employees on “Modern education: new strategic guidelines – new solutions” held in Bugulma, Interim President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov said that the development of Tatarstan Republic does not imply any breaks and pauses, we should become the leaders in the field of education. “Therefore we need new strategic guidelines and solutions, world best practices, careful attention to achievements of our pedagogical system to have been well-known since XIX century. August meeting is a very important event in life of pedagogical community,” Rustam Minnikhanov added.
“Bugulma jointly with Tatatrstan Ministry of Education prepared for the event very well. Today we have seen a lot of interesting examples of new schools and approaches, as well as a competitive school with its history, traditions and technologies introduced that help to be competitive. There is a great difference in system of education in cities and regions. There are schools with high level of education, while there are schools that need to be brought up to the level of the others. All educational establishments have the same conditions.It shoulld be mentioned that some regional schools are among leaders. I ask you to pay attention to the quality of education which is the issue of our competitiveness in the future. Our future depends on quality of education”, Interim President of Tatarstan Republic concluded.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
