1 million hectares, or 64 per cent of harvesting area, thrashed in Tatarstan Republic

On August 22, at a regional video conference held by Interim President of Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on working trip in Leninogorsk, with the participation of all municipal regions, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported that 1 million hectares or 64 per cent of harvesting area have been thrashed in republic by August 22. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov participated in the event.
According to Marat Akhmetov, 2.12 million tonnes of grain have been milled. Average harvest yield on the republic’s fields makes 21.2 centner per hectare.
He noted that Apastovo, Zainsk, Buinsk and Nurlat regions are completing the crop harvesting.
Speaking about sugar beet harvesting and its expected crop yield, Akhmetov said that beet harvest is expected to make 2 million tons. A total area of sowed sugar beets is 57.7 thousand hectares. Sugar plants in Zainsk, Buinsk, Nurlat will be used to process the sugar beet crops.
Winter crops are to be sowed on 650 thousand hectares by September 5, 2015.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
