Ildar Khalikov and Chinese delegation discuss prospects of cooperation in the sphere of tourism

On August 26, at his meeting with the delegation of China National Tourism Administration at Tatarstan Government House, Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov said that Tatarstan becomes more and more attractive for tourists year by year, due to meticulous efforts taken by the republic.
“Besides being an oil-producing region we pay much attention to the development of tourism. We have established a special state agency responsible for this industry. China is a priority partner of Russia and Tatarstan in the sphere of tourism,” Khalikov said.
According to statistical data, every 6th tourist in Russia is a national of China. It was noted that Tatarstan often takes part in tourism exhibitions in Beijing and Shanghai.
Ildar Khalikov thinks that opening of direct flights from Kazan to one of the Chinese provinces will give impetus to increasing the tourist flow.
Head of the Chinese delegation Way Huntao thanked Ildar Khalikov for the reception and reminded that a session of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Humanitarian Cooperation had been held in Kazan earlier on the same day.
Promotion of tourist and investment opportunities, said Way Huntao, as well as increasing business contacts between businesses and tour operators in Russia and China were discussed at the meeting.
Ildar Khalikov and Way Huntao agreed that the visit of the Chinese delegation to Kazan would reinforce cooperation between China and Tatarstan, and would be an important step in developing relations in tourism.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
