Rustam Minnikhanov inspects harvesting of potatoes in Vysokaya Gora region, Tatarstan

On September 10, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and Head of the Vysokaya Gora region, Tatarstan, Rustam Kalimullin inspected harvesting of potatoes in the region.
According to the latest information provided by the ministry of agriculture, 15 per cent of potatoes have been harvested in the republic, the average yield is 227 centners per hectare.
The Vysokaya Gora region was ranked fourth in Tatarstan after Arsk (1999 hectares), Kukmor (780 hectares), and Baltasi regions (771 hectares).
Rustam Minnikhanov was informed about local vegetable producing companies, including ZAO “Biryuli”, the main supplier of vegetables in the republic. In 2011-2014 the company modernized the amelioration system for the sum of 13.3 mln roubles, and purchased a new high-performance machine from the United Kingdom. Rustam Minnikhanov talked to machine operators about the new equipment and their working conditions.
Later on the same day, Minnikhanov visited the exhibition of local agricultural producers.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
