“Agromir Kazan” wholesale trade and logistics center to be built in Pestrechinsky region, Tatarstan

On September 10, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the event to mark the start of construction of “Agromir Kazan” wholesale trade and logistics center in Pestrechinsky region, Tatarstan.
At the first construction phase the center will occupy the area of 49 hectares, and the planned total area is 148,7 hectares.
The center will comprise premises for wholesale trade of meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, storage and processing facilities, car parking, shopping, exhibition and hotel complex.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that the local government is interested in successful implementation of the project. Construction of the first phase is planned to be finished in the fourth quarter next year. The whole construction will be finished by 2021. The amount of investments into the first construction phase made 9 bln roubles.
The first construction phase will provide 117, 000 square metres of commercial premises, and the second - 357, 000 square metres by 2021.
Russian Deputy Minister of economic development Stanislav Voskresensky said that Tatarstan is known for providing favourable conditions for investors that is why this major project will be implemented in the republic. He noted that the project has already aroused interest of investors from Asia-Pacific region and is one of priority projects of a special The Intergovernmental Russia-China Commission for Investment.
The investor of the project is National Food Corporation.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
