Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chief of Representative office of Haier in Russia Lyudmila Romanova

On September 14, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Chief of Representative office of Haier in Russia Lyudmila Romanova discussed specifics of functioning of territories of priority development in single-industry towns with particularly difficult socio-economic situation.
It should be reminded that Haier is implementing a project on construction of a plant for the production of refrigerators in Naberezhnye Chelny at the Kama Industrial Park "Master" and is planning to become a resident of the Territory of Priority Social and Economic Development, which is under construction. Naberezhnye Chelny is one of four single-industry towns in Russia, where pilot projects of the Territory of Priority Social and Economic Development will be launched. The decision was made by a special commission under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia last week, and the relevant resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation is being prepared now. At the current stage, there is a need to work out all the rules of interaction between residents of the Territory of Priority Social and Economic Development and regional executive authorities in the provision of tax benefits to its residents.
The meeting also discussed issues related to granting customs privileges by analogy with the the customs procedure of free customs zone applied at special economic zones, as well as the possibility of reducing customs duties for some product groups.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, Tatarstan Minister of Economy Artem Zdunov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliaya Minullin and other officials took part in the meeting.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
