First forum of innovative financial technologies Finnopolis 2015 opened in Kazan

On September 17, Chairman of the bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, President and Board Chairman of OAO “Sberbank of Russia” German Gref, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov and Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in opening of the first Kazan forum innovative financial technologies Finnopolis 2015.

Earlier the same day the guests visited the exhibition FinTech where modern information technologies in financial sector were presented.

Organizers of the forum informed that it should be the main event in the sphere of digitalization of financial market of the year, the place where problems of using digital technologies in financial market and global software and hardware solutions are discussed.

Ildar Khalikov welcomed participants of the forum on behalf of Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and thanked Elvira Nabiullina for choosing Kazan to host the forum.

The forum of innovative financial technologies opened with a plenary discussion “Digitalization of financial markets: looking into the future”. The roundtables “FinTech startups in Russia - problems and opportunities”, “National payment card system and perspective payment system of the Bank of Russia”, and the lecture “Electronic format XBRL: global practice” are to be held during the forum.
