New long-term program of social and economic development is being developed in Tatarstan

For achieving average-European living standards in Tatarstan the republican budget should be increased twice in comparison with pre-crisis level. Such assessment was given today by RT Minister of economy Marat Safiullin at briefing in RT Cabinet.

The Minister said that currently a new long-term program is being developed in Tatarstan. It will change the program of social and economic development of republic for 2005-2010. The main purpose of new program is creation of the basis for formation of new high-tech economic sectors which will produce substantial part of Tatarstan domestic regional product in 2020-s.

By words of the minister Tatarstan budget should be increased twice for achieving average-European living standards. It should make 190 bln. roubles by prices in 2010.

Marat Safiullin informed likewise that by May,1 ministries and departments would define broadcasted factors of developing their economic sectors till 2020.

On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation. The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.

Capital overhaul of social and cultural facilities completed in Tatarstan

On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.
