30 September 2015, Wednesday
On September 30, the sixth Russian-Azerbaijani inter-regional forum took place in Yekaterinburg discussed prospects of development of bilateral cooperation in industrial, scientific, technical, political and other spheres. More than 200 people from 11 Russian regions and five regions of Azerbaijan attended the forum. The business community was represented by 100 companies and business associations of both countries.

Speaking at the forum, the head of Tatarstan delegation Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov noted that Azerbaijan has traditionally built close trade-economic and humanitarian ties with Tatarstan, facilitated by the Azerbaijan Permanent Mission’s presence in the republic, which has been operating since 1992. Azerbaijan has longtime partner from Tatarstan such as KAMAZ and Kazan Helicopter Plant, as well as Nizhnekamskneftekhim.

Khalikov also stressed: "We have a lot of new projects. Our cooperation in the field of pharmaceutics also seems to be very prospective. Today, Azerbaijan Ministry of Health has registered 33 names of drugs delivered to Azerbaijan by Tathimpreparat."

"Just seven days later, on October 7, 2015, the largest juice producer of Azerbaijan will begin construction of the plant and a logistics center in Kazan," he added.
