On October 4, during his working trip to Kyoto (Japan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with CEO of Yokogawa Electric Corporation Takashi Nishijima. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Yokogawa electric is a long-time reliable partner of the republic in the sphere of automated management systems. He highly estimated the company’s initiative on organization of work with regional universities.
“Cooperation with Innopolis University and Specialized Economic Zone is a very prospective area. We have a few offers on localization of your production in Russia. Specialized Economic Zone Alabuga, “ICL-KPO VS”, Laishevo industrial site can be your partners in Tatarstan. You are our strategic partner, and you can sell your products at competitive price in Russia,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Takashi Nishijima highly estimated the level of relations with Tatarstan. “We are glad that we took part in modernization of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, OAO “Kazanorgsintez”, OAO “TAIF-NK”, OAO “TANECO”. Thank you for expansion of bilateral relations on the basis of our agreement that was signed between our company and Tatarstan,” he said.
The parties discussed development of cooperation of Yokogawa Electric with Kazan national research university, including software upgrade of laboratory and educational centers, other higher educational institutions and schools, development of Yokogawa Solutions engineering center in Kazan, cooperation with Innopolis University in the sphere of development of applied software of high technology solutions for oil-processing and petrochemical enterprises.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Takashi Nishijima signed protocol of intentions between Tatarstan and Yokogawa Electric that will determine areas of cooperation for the next three years.
