On October 5, during his working trip to Japan (October 4-5), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Special advisor to Prime Minister of Japan Eiichi Hasegawa.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked him for the meeting and attentive attitude towards Tatarstan. He also noted high level of organization of the forum Science and Technology in Society in Kyoto and informed about intentions to present Tatarstan enterprises at the forum next year.
Rustam Minnikhanov also told about a meeting with leadership of Toshiba Corporation and agreement that was reached on establishing a working group for implementation of joint projects in energy sector.
President of the republic informed about intentions to expand cooperation with Yokogawa company that is now deeply integrated into Tatarstan’s educational sphere.
“We would be grateful to you if you render assistance in activation of joint work on increasing the volume of IT services of ICS-KPO VS delivered to Fujitsu, and technological cooperation of two companies in Innopolis Specialized Economic Zone.
Eiichi Hasegawa thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for organization of the visit to Kazan in May 2015.
Among prospective areas of cooperation announced at the meeting are participation of Japanese workers in Worldskills International in Kazan in 2019, cooperation with NTT DoCoMo in telecommunications industry, and promotion of tourist routes among Japanese tourists.
