Insurance agency “Hermes” is interested in further cooperation with Tatarstan

Project of providing emergency hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny with high-tech medical equipment with participation of Commerzbank AG (Germany) and insurance export agency Euler Hermes (Germany) is considered to be a “pilot” one in Tatarstan and Russia, Director General of insurance agency “Hermes” Manfred Bruer announced in House of RT Government.

We remind that within the framework of reconstructing emergency hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny medical and technological equipment is to be provided. The contract for equipment procurement was signed between the emergency hospital and AJZ Engineering GmbH (Germany) on January, 20, 2010. The contract is being financed by “Ak Bars” Bank within framework of international structural financing with participation of Commerzbank AG (Germany) and insurance export agency Euler Hermes (Germany). JSC “Svyazinvestneftehim” stands surety for transaction on behalf of Republic Tatarstan.

In the course of meeting between RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of insurance agency “Hermes” Manfred Bruer it was announced that Commerzbank AG has finally approved the deal and it went through. 987 mnl. RUR are to be paid by credit till year 2018. The first payment will be done in 2012. Interest on credit will make 179 mln. RUR.

In the end of March it is planned to organize training for doctors on the basis of German hospitals, later on German specialists will exchange experience with collegues from emergency hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny.

134 items of equipment for diagnostics, cardio- and neurosurgery, traumatology, orthopedics, e.t.c. will be provided for emergency hospital.

Manfred Bruer suggested Rustam Minnikhanov to organize a conference on investment in Kazan. He also informed that in March such conference will be held in Moscow sponsored by Commerzbank AG. He invited representatives of Tatarstan to take part in it.

Mr Bruer suggested Tatarstan leadership cooperation in organization and preparation for Universiade 2013. He reminded that insurance agency “Hermes” has already supported several Olympic Games, including the ones in Sydney and is going to support the event in Sochi.

We had assessed favourable investment climate in Tatarstan, Manfred Bruer emphasized, and that executive discipline which helps to realize serious projects in a short period of time. Besides, insurance agency “Hermes” is satisfied with cooperation with “Ak Bars” Bank.
