Rustam Minnikhanov visits Qunli national park in Harbin

On October 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Committee on tourism Sergei Ivanov, President and chief designer of Turenscape Yu Kongjian visited  Qunli national park in Harbin.

Rustam Minnikhanov was told that development of a new city district “Qunli New Town” had been underway since 2006. The project implies development of an area of 32-million square metres for three million people within 13-15 years. The park area will occupy 16 per cent of the territory.  

According to Professor Yu Kongjian, local authorities decided to develop a drying water area and build motorways around it. The park will be turned into a recreation place for local residents.

The design of the park will be developed by Turenscape company.
