Rustam Minnikhanov inspects construction of “KZSK-Silicon” plant

On October 13, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited construction site of “KZSK-Silicon” (Kazan synthetic rubber plant) in Kazan.

The construction of the plant started on June 18, 2014 and is expected to be finished in April 2016.

Speaking at the session of “KZSK-Silicon” regional office, Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is a facility of national importance.

“Nowadays when our country is facing some isolation because of economic and political sanctions, we should develop our own production technologies. The project of industrial production of methylchlorosilanes at OAO “KZSK-Silicon” is aimed at solving these tasks and is supported on the federal level,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Director General of the plant Vladislav Klienkov told about implementation of the construction project. In particular, 3.7 bln rubles have already been spent, contracts for the sum of 5.9 bln rubles have been signed, and 73 per cent of equipment has been supplied.
