Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Governor of Kocaeli Basri Güzeloğlu

On October 15, during his working trip to Turkey, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Governor of Kocaeli Basri Güzeloğlu and expressed his gratitude for hospitality and noted long-term successful cooperation between Russia and Turkey.

Minnikhanov reminded that Koluman, Plentmak, Kastamonu Entegre, and Coşkunöz are successfully working in the republic.

Basri Güzeloğlu expressed his confidence that interregional cooperation will be expanding and strengthening. He added that Kocaeli province is one of the most developing industrial regions in Turkey, and industrial production makes 70 per cent of its GDP. There are more than 300 industrial enterprises in the province, including Tupras, Ford Otosan, Hyundai, Honda, Goodyear, Pirelli and Hayat Kimya, 13 industrial zones, 3 technoparks and 2 free trade zones.

After the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and Basri Güzeloğlu took part in a business breakfast with Turkish businessmen, where an Agreement on twinning between Tyulyachi region of Tatarstan and Gebze municipality of Kocaeli province, and agreement between Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kocaeli Chamber of Industry were signed.
