Tatarstan President: Rockwool is a benchmark of the highest quality

On November 3, at his meeting with ROCKWOOL International Jens Birgersson, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the plant opened in Alabuga Specialized Economic Zone in April 2012, is an innovative, successful project and fits well into the energy-saving strategy implemented in the republic.

He added that in general cooperation with Danish companies is successfully realized which can be proved by joint projects with such companies as Rockwool and Danfoss.

Minnikhanov continued that the company exceeded the stated amount of investments and created more jobs than it was planned, and that within its powers the republic will render overall support and assistance in developing Rockwool business in the republic.  

Jens Birgersson thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for supporting the project and providing favourable conditions for its implementation. He noted that the plant in Tatarstan is one of the biggest and high technology enterprises of Rockwool International and the company is interested in its development.

Also, Jens Birgersson said that in spite of certain difficulties connected with political factors Russia is one of the main markets for the company.

“We face these obstacles because of your politicians, not because of you. Russia has not changed its attitude to investors. We will continue being responsible for our contacts,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

“We are looking forward to increasing our production volume in Russia again. We are not going to give up. When our production volume starts increasing we will start expanding our presence,” Jens Birgersson summarized.
