On November 10, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a teleconference on the programme “Supporting the creation of jobs at educational organizations in Russian regions in 2016–2025” that was held by Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.
Speaking at the conference, Medvedev said that construction of new schools in the country is a large-scale project. “We should understand the situation in every region clearly, how many schools we need to build and reconstruct. It depends on specific features of our country and the programme should be developed in accordance with these standards,” he said.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, leadership of the country in liaison with regions and “United Russia” political party have been actively involved in modernization of pre-school education over the last years in order to ensure enrollment of children aged 3 to 7 to kindergartens by 2016. He noted that the programme has been successfully realized.
