Rustam Minnikhanov: I am sure that this visit will enhance relations between Tatarstan and Luxembourg

On November 19, during his working visit to Luxembourg, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Minister of economy, Minister of internal security and defence of Luxembourg, Co-chairman of the Joint Russian-Luxembourg Commission on Economic Cooperation Étienne Schneider.

“I want to express my gratitude to leadership of Russia and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for attention paid to providing favourable conditions for the development of interregional cooperation,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. Also, he expressed his hope that during the current visit Tatarstan and Luxembourg businessmen would find new areas of cooperation and agree on joint projects.

Welcoming Rustam Minnikhanov and members of the delegation Étienne Schneider said that their meeting was held in Château de Bourglinster that was built in 1210. He expressed his interest in developing cooperation with Innopolis University, PAO “KAMAZ”, and major petrochemical enterprises of the republic.

Minnikhanov thanked Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Luxembourg in Russia Pierre Ferring for his help in establishing bilateral contacts.

Étienne Schneider informed about a meeting of intergovernmental Russian-Luxembourg commission chaired by Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Rogozin that will be held in Sochi in February 2016.
